During my 10k service last Saturday (4/21), AdBlue was added. AdBlue was spilled during the process. I did not notice it until this morning (4/26) when I saw AdBlue crystallized around the AdBlue fill location in the trunk as well as crystallized AdBlue on the seat bottom for the rear passenger seat. Did some searching and found the BP document I know that consumption of DEF (AdBlue) is entirely dependent upon climate, idle time, style of driving, etc. Still, the Adblue consumption in my Golf seems irregular and unusually high. I'm wondering what others' experiences are. I've got a 2015 Golf that I bought new in May, 2017. The dealer performed the 10k mile service at around 10k miles Using the VAG-COM, go into the Instrument Cluster control module (-17-) and select OUTPUT TESTS (-03-). 2. Click on the START/NEXT button to initiate a sequence of tests. The first of these tests the sweep and calibration of the analog gauges. The needles for all four gauges (tach, speedo, coolant temp, fuel level) will drop to 0, sweep slowly
At least in my case, you can tell the DEF tank is full by noticing DEF fluid spilled around the tank by a sloppy VW mechanic. You can use an AdBlue Audi/VW DEF fluid bottle to fill the tank. If you don't have one, they run about $15 from an Audi/VW dealer. It's a bottle that holds 1/2 gallon of fluid.
grant@gendan. I am posting on behalf of a customer. They have an Adblue warning on their dash - A bottle symbol with 600 miles remaining underneath. The Adblue has been filled on the car but the warning will not clear. I have spotted previous similar threads mentioning ECU updates and NOX sensors but have not been able to find a conclusive answer.

2013 Passat TDI SEL. Apr 24, 2015. #31. Update to previous post regarding ADBlue heater/level sensor code P203B and O2 sensor stuck. Spoke with VWofA explaining the circumstance with the cost and timeliness of this fault, and they are offering to pay the dealer for the repair of this problem (approx $1500).
