I am facing problem with my Ford Focus 05 number plate from yesterday. Yesterday evening it shows suddenly "Engine System Fault", then "Acceleration Reduced". I drive home like 5 miles without any problem but that message was showing.. Then this morning haven't seen any message. But, in the evening coming back home just now had more problem
The 1.4 TDCi engine also known as 1.4 HDi. Update The engine turns fine with no weird noises when cranking and no smoke is coming out. and after someone suggested that the fault could be the lack of fuel pressure in the rail so the ECU won't fire the injectors (which turned out to be right). Still no difference so bought second-hand fuel pump (£60) of a car which had done 42k miles. While engine in bits, changed timing belt, water pump, idler and tensioner pulleys (£77) and ancillary belt (£13). Also stripped EGR system out, which was in a awful state. The end coming from top of engine was at least 50% blocked with crud!Ford Model: Focus1.6tdci. Ford Year: 2010. UK/Ireland Location: Devon. Posted September 6, 2022. Hi all. A little while ago I posted a message about my running fault on or around 1500rpm with light throttle. Stuttering and jerking. But still no further in solving this annoying problem.PYZDI6.
