F. fred99x. 214 posts · Joined 2006. #7 · Nov 15, 2015. Check the mechanism that operates the turn signal assembly. It may be damaged. This part sits around the steering shaft and will require removal of the steering wheel/air bag. This happened on my Dad's vehicle. D.
At first, everything seemed to work fine, the turn signals worked and the hazards worked etc. But, then I went to turn right and my right signal stuck on and would not turn off. Previously, I was able to get the right signal to shut off by flipping the left signal on quickly or turning on the hazards momentarily.
Save. madrabbitt · #17 · Feb 8, 2009. Get a wire probe out and check the incoming and outgoing wires to it. There may be a short in the wires, especially where the wires bend with the column. The only part of the harness that affects the turn signals, but not the hazard is that stalk.

90 posts · Joined 2022. #2 · Nov 18, 2023. The flasher module doesn't have a PCI (CAN) bus, so the Body Control Module must monitor the turn signal switch status. After a cursory look at the BCM though, I see it monitors the Hazzard switch but not turn signal left-right grounds. Must be missing something.
The problem is that where the ground point is located does not share good contact with the chassis where the ground should be. The solution is simple: Make up a jumper wire with #10 gauge wire about 10″ long. On one end, crimp on a ¼" round wire terminal. On the other end, crimp on a 3/8″ round wire terminal.
